In a wet-pipe sprinkler system, the pipes are kept constantly filled with pressurized water. It is only used in places where there is no risk of freezing and the ambient temperature does not exceed 95°C. Wet sprinkler system sections located in areas with a risk of freezing must be protected by an antifreeze system or an electrically monitored heating cable system.
