Atex Certified Dampers

All dampers used in areas with explosion risks are within the scope of the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, and devices containing electrical components require multiple markings and must be certified as a whole with an ATEX certificate (type examination certificate) in accordance with this directive. Making production compliant with the ATEX DIRECTIVES is different from certifying another product.

In accordance with these directives, in our country, the first regulation for ATEX was the "Regulation on Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres (94/9/AT)" which entered into force on 27.10.2002 and was completely revised on 30.12.2006. The second regulation is the "Regulation on the Protection of Workers from the Risks Related to Explosive Atmospheres (99/92/EC)" which entered into force on 26.12.2003 and was completely revised on 30.05.2013.

The deficiencies in these regulations were corrected and supported by the "New Occupational Health and Safety Law" approved on 20.06.2012 and published in the Official Gazette on 30.06.2012.

While the ATEX regulations have been applied as a voluntary standard since 1 March 1996, as of 1 July 2003, all products sold for use in explosive atmospheres must be EX-approved and carry the symbol. It is mandatory to obtain compliance certificates for Ex-proof devices according to the European standard.
